Gold Leaf Manufacturing

The history of gold leaf

Gold leaf has almost 5.000 years of tradition. In modern gold leaf production, much has changed since the Middle Ages, but the basic principle has remained the same.
The laws of physics cannot be outwitted and the special ductility of gold can only be achieved by following certain rules. The ancient recipes for the various alloys are well-kept secrets.
Percentage & Certificates Only gold leaf that contains pure gold can be defined as gold leaf. Various components form an alloy which is poured into moulds, allowed to cool and then progressively thinned. Gold leaves of different carats are available on the market, but we only use pure genuine gold made in Germany!
