Technical information

In our assortment you can find around 30 different kinds of gold in different shades and levels of purity.  For all our products we only use real gold leaf from Schwabach.

Real gold leaf is caracterized by a distinctive structure,  which stays visible through the processing.  As it is a natural product, gold has a very individual face in every leaf.  Little cracks, splits and streaks may appear and will be kept intentionally. These structures can be seen particularly well in backlight.  As well as it shimmers a little purple in backlight and seems translucent and shows its special delicacy in every leaf.

In the reflective view the gold-plated surface seems as a shining unit with a typical pattern that results from overlapping of the layout.
